Kretzer Piano Music Foundation Gifts Scholarships and More to Young Singers of the Palm Beaches, thus Supporting Children at Faith’s Place Center for Arts Education Young Singers of the Palm Beaches, the Kretzer Piano Music Foundation, and Faith’s Place Center for Arts Education have more than just music in common; they also both support, educate and encourage children in our community and are proud of their affiliations with each other as well. Recently, the three organizations came together to have an even bigger impact, specifically on the lives of seven (7) Palm Beach County girls. The Kretzer’s Foundation gifted the seven girls, who are members of Faith’s Place Center for Arts Education, with full scholarships to cover tuition at Young Singers of the Palm Beaches. All of the girls auditioned for, and have been choir members of Young Singers for three years. “Being able to continue their vocal education at Young Singers without the worry of tuition coverage is an amazing benefit to these children,” notes Beth Clark, CEO of Young Singers. She continues, “We have students whose ambition to sing with us might be obstructed by the cost of tuition, and we are so thankful for the generosity of donors like Kathi Kretzer who help to support children’s talent and dreams.” Kathi Kretzer is a long-time supporter of Young Singers of the Palm Beaches, donating to their scholarship fund for the past two years. In addition to scholarships at Young Singers, the Kretzer Piano Music Foundation will also be providing uniforms to Young Singers’ newest outreach program, Choir in the Glades. “I am passionate about music and believe that it should be a part of every child’s life,” declares Kathi Kretzer. “Groups like Young Singers and Faith’s Place give children more than just music education, they also help them do better in school, develop performance skills, increase self-discipline, and build confidence.” All three organizations strive to make a difference in the community by having a positive effect on the lives of children. Coming together as they have seemed a natural collaborative interaction. Noble Lockhart-Mays, Director of Faith’s Place notes, “We want to develop long-lasting relationships in the community so that we can continue to get the best benefits for the children we serve. Music, singing, being part of a fine group like Young Singers is extremely important and even life-saving for some of our at-risk children. We are so thankful to Kathi Kretzer and the Kretzer Foundation for helping our girls.” Faith’s Place Center for Arts Education is a community organization that offers educational services to children from Pre-K through high school, including STEAM programs (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Math), after school homework assistance, tutoring, and art and music education.
